AMPAS Scientific and Technical Awards 2010
FilmLight's development team has been honoured with four AMPAS Sci-Tech awards, recognising the achievements of ten of FilmLight's founding engineers in every one of the company's three main product lines: Northlight, Baselight and Truelight.
This is the first time in the history of the Sci-Tech awards that as many as four out of the fifteen awards are going to the engineers of a single company.
Queen’s Awards for Enterprise
The Queen's Awards are the UK's most prestigious awards for business performance. They recognise and reward outstanding achievement by UK companies.

Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2006

This award is for export achievement in the International Trade category. |
Over the company’s lifetime, FilmLight has achieved progressively rising overseas sales for all three of its product lines. The company has created more than 60 high value jobs and now exports more than 80% of its products to film studios and post production houses throughout the world.
Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2005
The Northlight scanner has changed the way in which the film industry manages the post-production process, leading to the widespread adoption of digital techniques.
London Export Awards 2010
FilmLight has been awarded London's Outstanding Exporter of the Year at the London Export Awards 2010, held at the Piccadilly headquarters of BAFTA. FilmLight were also joint winners of the award for London's Technology Exporter of the Year.
The UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) organised awards, supported by the Mayor of London and sponsored by Barclays Bank, were open to London-based SMEs registered within any of London's 33 boroughs.
BKSTS Technical & Scientific Achievement Award 2005
FilmLight’s two founders, Wolfgang Lempp and Steve Chapman, have received a Technical & Scientific Achievement award from the BKSTS.
It has been awarded to Lempp and Chapman following the recommendation of a number of UK and US post-production facilities for their development of the FilmLight product range, recognising the impact that FilmLight technology is making to post-production throughout the film industry.
