Step up to HDR for your finishing workflow:
In collaboration with Annex Pro
7 June 2017
High dynamic range (HDR) displays and projectors have arrived, and with the blacker blacks, glinting highlights, and wider colour gamut come new challenges for colour mastering - which still needs to deliver for existing TVs and cinema projectors too.
FilmLight and Annex Pro invite you to an exclusive workshop on the latest HDR technologies and colour grading workflows for both cinema and television - on either the afternoon or evening of June 7th.
Peter Postma, Managing Director of FilmLight Americas, will demonstrate HDR technologies and workflows, using Baselight colour grading tools to illustrate the advantages and pitfalls of various approaches to HDR grading. Case studies from recent television and major motion pictures will be used to show how creative colour choices are established and adjusted through the film making process and realised for both HDR and non-HDR delivery formats.
He will also summarise the technical aspects of working in HDR, provide an overview of current HDR systems, and explain the requirements for mastering in HDR and the creative challenges of mastering for HDR.
Seating is limited so registration is required. Registration details coming soon.
