Congratulations to all involved in the creation of A Thousand and One, winner of the ‘U.S. Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic’ award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
The film tells the story of unapologetic and free-spirited Inez who, convinced it’s one last, necessary crime on the path to redemption, kidnaps 6-year-old Terry from the foster care system. Holding on to their secret and each other, mother and son set out to reclaim their sense of home, identity, and stability in New York City.
The debut feature for director A.V. Rockwell was graded by Maxine Gervais at Picture Shop.
