FilmLight, a leading provider of digital filmmaking technology announced a new certification program for film grading theatres, open to more than 150 Truelight clients worldwide who are committed to a certain standard grading environment.
Truelight is the leading colour management system in use in post production. Truelight calibration ensures that the print film matches the display device.
Once certified, clients can display the certificate and plaque in their grading theatre, and use the documentation in any company material including web and print. The program recognises the standard of the environment measured in screen brightness and contrast ratio, and requires adherence to the full Truelight process.
Re-certification is required every 12 months.
Productions looking for the peace of mind that using Truelight print emulation brings, can search out Truelight certified theatres with confidence in the accuracy of the colour match to print film.
FilmLight will also publish a list of certified theatres on its web site www.filmlight.ltd.uk including contact information, as a resource for DI customers.
Among others, Frame Set and Match|Sydney, Ollin|Mexico & Men-from-Mars|London have already been
certified.
