Jong-soo bumps into Hae-mi, who lived in the same neighborhood. Hae-mi asks him to look after her cat while she’s on a trip to Africa. She then returns with Ben, a mysterious man. When Ben visits Jong-soo, he confesses his own secret hobby.

Eight years after his beautiful drama Poetry, Lee Chang-dong made a return to the Cannes competition with his sixth film Burning. The movie is a thriller about obsessive love taken from a short story by Haruki Murakami and is superbly shot.
