Blackboard 2 | Baselight 4.3 | Baselight for Final Cut Pro and NUKE | Truelight On-Set and AatonK
LONDON—25 August 2011—Highlights
We will be giving the first European presentations of Blackboard 2, our revolutionary new grading control surface. Blackboard 2 caused quite a stir when it debuted at NAB, and since then, it has evolved into a market ready product.. Your eye is drawn to the visually stunning design, but the secret to Blackboard 2 is what we call Adaptive Key Technology—every key is programmable in infinite ways. No grading surface is faster, more ergonomic or, frankly, cooler than Blackboard 2.
IBC will also mark the launch of Baselight 4.3, which brings a number of new features and performance improvements to our industry-leading grading software. There’s a major upgrade to the 3D Stereoscopic tool set which we believe is now the very best available. We’ve also added an Automated Object-Based Tracker to make it easy to apply grades to moving objects, and the new version also includes a high productivity multi-head UI with integrated vector scopes. Some clever performance enhancements including powerful timeline caching and background rendering capability contribute to making Baselight more creative and more productive.
As part of our ongoing effort to broaden access to high quality grading tools, we are pleased to introduce Baselight Plug-Ins for Final Cut Pro and NUKE (the latter will be seen at IBC for the first time). We’ll be demonstrating how these tools empower editors and visual effects artists, and how they integrate with a main Baselight system in a flexible, collaborative production environment.
Baselight TWO introduces a new price performance point to the Baselight range and also making its debut is a faster, very affordable Baselight ONE including support for Avid MC Color and MC Transport control surfaces. Attractive hardware upgrade packages will be available for existing Baselight customers.
