FilmLight showcases latest solutions at Broadcast & Cable 2013

FilmLight will be joining its local partner, PSK Engenharia, at Broadcast & Cable to demonstrate how its entry-level products make high quality grading available to all, as well as demonstrating the “colour pipeline” at every stage of production through to post-production.

Leading the products on display will be FilmLight’s new Baselight ONE deskside grading system. This puts the full Baselight creative toolset into a compact and affordable 4U processor. For processing performance this incorporates a 2TB solid-state internal cache, and Baselight ONE can be connected to a facility network for content sharing.

Baselight ONE will be paired with Slate, FilmLight’s new and affordable compact grading control panel. It includes the same adaptive keys and limitless encoders as the full-scale Blackboard 2 panel, but in a much more compact form to fit into multi-purpose suites.

That portability also makes it the ideal complement to Baselight Editions, which put the core Baselight grading toolset as a plug-in for popular editing and finishing systems, including Avid (on Mac or Windows), Final Cut Pro 7 and NUKE systems.

“Consumers in Brazil and Latin America expect the highest quality in what they see, and that includes accurate and creative colour grading for all forms of television,” said Francisco Monje, LATAM sales manager, FilmLight. “We have achieved significant success across the region in recent years and Broadcast & Cable is a great platform to demonstrate how FilmLight can bring this creativity and control to any project and any workflow, at any budget.”

Broadcast & Cable takes place in São Paulo, Brazil, from 20 – 22 August 2013 at the Immigrants Exhibition Center. FilmLight will be on stand D11.
