FilmLight strengthens its position in the growing Japanese market with the appointment of Techno House Inc., a leading independent distributor and systems integrator headed by Norihiko Kushibiki in Tokyo.
Techno House brings a wide range of expertise across the professional video market, including providing system consultation to Japanese broadcasters and post houses. In conjunction with FilmLight’s office in Tokyo, Techno House will help to sell, support and distribute the company’s full range of products across the region.
“We are pleased to partner with Techno House, who have such a strong sales dynamic and engineering competence,” said Wolfgang Lempp, co-founder of FilmLight. “With the Japanese market moving rapidly towards advanced television formats, Techno House’s experience in broadcast and post is key to help expand our total colour pipeline solution, which is already used extensively by our Japanese clients for TV productions and films.”
All of FilmLight’s products deliver HDR and Ultra HD 4K content to ensure that content look its best in any context – whether on set, in post, in the cinema or at home. Combined with the success of the renderless, metadata-driven Baselight Linked Grade (BLG) as well as the Truelight colour technology, the FilmLight solutions work together to successfully manage colour from set to deliverables.
Norihiko Kushibiki, President of Techno House, commented: “We have watched FilmLight grow into the industry’s leading brand for colour management and we believe that, combined with our existing product offer in post and broadcast, this collaboration will help to push our clients to a higher level.”
InterBEE visitors will be able to see FilmLight’s unique renderless workflow from set to final delivery, including 4K HDR mastering and grading, with Baselight TWO, Daylight and FLIP on Techno House’s booth (Hall 5/5402).
