FilmLight Ltd., a leading provider of digital filmmaking technology, today announced that its two founders, Wolfgang Lempp and Steve Chapman, have received an Outstanding Contribution To The Industry award from the BKSTS. The two join a prestigious list of past winners that includes Anthony Minghella, Peter Rogers and Sir Alan Parker.
The BKSTS presents its Outstanding Contribution To The Industry award to individuals or organisations that have made highly significant artistic or creative contributions, enhancing the public’s enjoyment and appreciation of the cinema, television or multimedia industries. It has been awarded to Lempp and Chapman following the recommendation of a number of UK and US post-production facilities for their development of the FilmLight product range, recognising the impact that FilmLight technology is making to post-production throughout the film industry.
“Steve and I are delighted to have been recognised by the industry and the BKSTS,” comments Lempp. “This is a very special award for us as the nomination comes from both our customers and industry colleagues. It also acknowledges the whole of the FilmLight team.”
The awards will be presented at a gala lunch at Pinewood Studios on Wednesday 12th October 2005. For more information on the award and the BKSTS visit the BKSTS web site.
