FilmLight, a leading provider of digital filmmaking technology, announced today that Post Logic Studios has made a major investment in FilmLight technology to create a new data-centric resolution independent workflow up to 4K in its Los Angeles and New York facilities. The Northlight film scanner, Baselight Four and Eight colour grading systems and Truelight colour management products form an integral part of this realtime flexible workflow.
The Northlight scanner was chosen by Post Logic Studios to give its clients a range of scanner performance and speed choices and to provide the best quality pin registered 4K and 2K scanning.
After thoroughly evaluating all the software grading systems available, Post Logic Studio’s experienced and high-profile colourists chose Baselight’s powerful and flexible software tools as the start of a migration from their current hardware colour correctors. The Baselight Four will be used by Post Logic Studios for its 2K projects and as part of its HD/SD pipeline. The Baselight Eight will enable them to handle all sizes of projects with minimal rendering times in a realtime environment.
