FilmLight, a leading provider of digital film and video technology, announced an exceptional end to 2006 with fourteen leading studios and facilities across Europe opting for the FilmLight product range in November and December.

Sales for the end of year includes, two Baselight EIGHTS, FilmLight’s highest performance colour grading system enabling clients to grade a mixture of commercial, longform and DI. Seven Baselight FOURS, four Baselight HD systems, the latest member of the Baselight range specifically designed for SD and HD grading, and one Baselight ONE. Integral to the sales was Truelight, FilmLight’s complete colour management and calibration system. Truelight enables clients to check the final film look at any point in the digital post production process without unnecessary film-outs, saving matching, rework, time and effort.
A number of the new installations include FilmLight’s leading pin-registered scanners – Northlight and recently launched Northlight 2. The scanners are supplied with Infra-Red scanning capabilities to support an automatic dust bust pipeline.
Completing many of the systems was FilmLight’s Cinema4K framestore, unique in its ability to display real-time uncompressed 4K image data formatted for commercially available projectors and compliant with the Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) and X’Y’Z’ colour space workflow.
Clients including Evasion (Spain), Georgian Film (Georgia), Galaxy Studios (Belgium), Das Werk (Dusseldorf & Munich), FotoCinema (Italy), Egli Swiss Effects (Switzerland), ACE (Prague), Cinepostproduction Bavaria Film (Germany), Scanline (Germany), DFF (Finland), UMP (Russia) and Big Bang (UK) chose FilmLight above all others for seamless integration of the products, performance, functionality, knowledge and service.
